Visa Requirements
Most European, North American, Australasian, East & Southeast Asian
nationals do not require a visa to enter Thailand for up to a 30-day stay.

Arriving
Bangkok is served by most international airlines. Please check with your local
travel agents or airline representatives for flight information from your area.
Thailand's new international airport, the Suvarnabhumi Airport, opened in
September 2006, is only 25 kilometres from Bangkok and can currently serve 45
million passengers a year. It is connected to Bangkok and nearby provinces by 5
main access routes and expressways.

Getting Around
Taxis: Taxis can be hailed from the streets. Most are metered and only accept
cash. All expressway and toll fares are to be paid by passengers.
Public Transportation: The
BTS Skytrain and
MRT (Metro) operate train services (elevated and underground,
respectively) in the downtown area. Tickets can be purchased at the stations.
Mobile Phones
International visitors with 900 or 1800 GSM mobile phones will be able to use
their phones in Thailand . Please check with your carrier for international
roaming rates. Rechargeable SIM cards are also available for sale. Local
service providers include
AIS, Orange
and DTAC.
Climate
July is in the middle of the rainy season. Bangkok has an average temperature of
32 degrees Celsius and high in humidity. Visitors can expect intermittent rain
throughout the day.

Sunscreens, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes & light and airy clothes.
